This is, of course, a lot of wishful thinking! Or should I say wistful thinking, which is even worse...
Imaginar que no hi ha un cel, per a mi representa no voler saber res sobre el nostre paper aquí baix, no creure en res en definitiva.
I si no creiem en res i ens preguntem la raó de tot plegat, francament no sé ben bé comprendre el per què de tant patiment i injustícia com hi ha a la Terra.
“Living for today” vol dir, naturalment, viure el avui i no fer-se preguntes sobre el demà. Així es com segurament viuen els animals i encara no sabem si ells viuen sense cap esperança en un futur...
Viure sense religió és també una forma molt còmode de plantejar-ne la existència. Quans ateus hi ha en el món en percentatge comparats amb els que tenen alguna creença?
Insignificants.
I en qualsevol cas ja s’ho trobaran, eventually!
Per tant, resumint, la música de John Lenon és esplèndida, the lyrics molt irreals, i tot plegat em fa creure que més que idealistes els Beatles eren extraordinàriament intel•ligents, i la prova es que feien les cançons que sabien la seva clientela de joves volia...
